Overview of BSC

Balmoral Sailing Club (BSC) is the friendliest sailing club in Sydney and in the most beautiful location, at the south-eastern end of Balmoral Beach. Click here to see where we are on Google Maps.

Sailing at Balmoral is fun, safe, accessible and affordable for people of all backgrounds, ages and abilities. New members are always welcome. So, whether you are 5 or 85 or anywhere in between you'll enjoy being a member and sailing at BSC.

Sailing is on most Saturdays from the beginning of September until the end of May. Balmoral has a vast grassed area for rigging boats. Launching and retrieving is safe and easy straight off the beach.

A number of classes of boats sail from BSC, including 505, Laser, Mirror, Moth, National E, RS Aero and Tasar, as well as Windsurfers and Formula Windsurfers. The club also offers an Open class, and boats can race under yardstick. For details on each class, please see the link to classes above. The club also periodically hosts regattas for these and other classes.

At BSC members volunteer their time. If you are interested in volunteering on the powerboats as part of the Race Control or Safety Patrol team contact us though the website.
